This will be a hands-on introduction to live sound, useful for performers wanting to speak with more confidence to sound engineers and / or do their own sound, and for those wanting to run an event but unsure how to use a PA.
We’ll be taking a practical look how to successfully route sound from a variety of sources (e.g. instruments, microphones, computers) into a mixing desk, apply effects, mix, amplify and send the combined sound back out to stage monitors and stereo speakers.
All essential kit will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments, sound devices and audio effects equipment to the workshop so we can plug them in and make some noise!
