Aged 11-18? Make your own podcast with Sound Adventures!

Ever wanted to make your own podcast?

The online edition of our WIRED music technology club is back, with Sound Adventures, a free six-week course led by sound artist and podcast producer Jo Kennedy.

Open to girls, young women, non-binary people and other marginalised genders aged 11-18 years old and living in Yorkshire, the course starts on Tuesday 5 July and will be delivered over Zoom.

Participants will learn about making audio recordings, editing them together and creatively using other sounds in an audio piece. By the end of the course, they’ll have created a mini podcast episode on a topic of their choice.

No experience is necessary; participants will need a mobile phone for recording, and a laptop or desktop computer to attend via Zoom, and carry out sound editing work.

About the course leader

Jo Kennedy lives in Todmorden, West Yorkshire.  She works in a freelance capacity in the realm of sound and is engaged in a variety of activities, including sound design, making sound art and sound walks, producing a nature podcast, running technical and creative workshops, and recording and editing sound for other people.
