Read about what YSWN has achieved so far, why we believe we’re needed and discover how you can get involved and support us.
Donate Support UsSince 2015 YSWN has established a network for women, girls and minority gender people interested in gaining skills and confidence in music and sound technology. We’re growing all the time, with several affiliated groups across Yorkshire – and as far afield as Malta – who provide a place for sharing skills and advice, finding mentors, making friends and building communities.
In addition, we run a host of projects devoted to education, network-building and artistic development. We also work with the audio industry to promote equality, tackle discrimination and increase opportunities for women and people of non-binary genders.
Our workshops offer hands-on experiences in DJ-ing, live coding, Ableton, soldering electronic instruments and much more, in friendly, encouraging environments. We’ve hosted inspiring talks by leading musicians and audio professionals – and we have our own podcast.
Get InvolvedJoin our mailing list and we’ll keep you informed with the latest YSWN news, upcoming events and related opportunities.
We’ll take great care with your details and won’t share them – for more information, please read our privacy policy.
