Following the successful launch of our WIRED music tech club for girls in Leeds this autumn, we’re now taking applications for the second run of the club. Taking place at The Point in Doncaster, we’re offering 12 weeks of free, fun, hands-on workshops starting on 9 January 2020.
If you are or you know a girl* aged 11-18, now’s the time to enjoy the chance to use real-life studio equipment and music technology programs to:
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried any of the above things before and you don’t need to know how to play a musical instrument either. The sessions are led by Emily Johnson, Liina ‘LNA’ Turtonen and Sophie Cooper, all musicians and producers who are experienced in workshops and ready to help you learn in a fun and friendly way!
The first WIRED club in Doncaster starts on Thursday 9 January and takes place every Thursday (except for 20 February) from 6pm-7.30pm until 2 April. All sessions are FREE to attend, although as places are limited, we do ask that you commit to attending the full 12 weeks of the club.
If you would like to join but worry about the cost of travelling to the sessions, we have some funding available to help, so please get in touch.
To get a place at WIRED club, you’ll need to fill out and return the application form, which you can download here: WIRED application form
