Are we making a difference? Take our survey

by

In response to the male dominance of our audio industries many groups have been set up specifically for women and gender non-binary people to network, to learn music production skills and develop as professionals and artists.

Now we would like to know what effect this has had on the people involved. With particular focus on YSWN and groups inspired by and/or linked with this network, we are asking how participating in a group like this has or hasn’t made a difference to you. We are also keen to receive feedback from people who are no longer engaged with YSWN, or who have not yet attended any of our events.

Anyone who would like to help contribute to a new snapshot of opinion is invited to fill out an online survey, which should take around eight minutes to complete. Participants are also asked whether they might be willing to participate in a telephone interview (with someone not active in, or linked to any group). The survey is open until Friday 19 July.

This survey is conducted by Dr Liz Dobson of the University of Huddersfield.  All data collected will remain anonymous and stored securely in compliance with GDPR regulations. The findings will be shared with participating groups, and a report will be published online for subsequent open evaluation of method and insights.
