Meet YSWN’s newest directors

YSWN recently welcomed three more directors to our board to help us continue our work and achieve our aims as a Community Interest Company. Working in a voluntary capacity, each director brings a different set of skills and expertise which come together to guide our strategy and direction at three-monthly working group meetings and for key decisions between those.

The three new directors are: Jo Kennedy, a Todmorden sound artist and active member of Calderdale Sound Women Network; Supriya Nagarajan, Dewsbury based musician and founder of Manasamitra, whose involvement with YSWN dates back to our early days; and Irine Røsnes, currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Huddersfield involving violin and electronics, and who you may have seen delivering a workshop on silent film improvisation at our Level Up! event in Bradford this summer. To read their full profiles and find links to their work, visit our About page.

One of the existing directors, Andie Brown, has now stepped down, along with working group advisor Aiwan Obinyan, who has retired from YSWN work to focus on her career. All YSWN directors and working group members would like to thank them both wholeheartedly for their contributions, insight and advice.
