Our WIRED Music Technology Club is back for the autumn, and if you are or know someone living in the East Riding of Yorkshire who’d like to join in, it’s time to sign up!
WIRED is a free music technology club for girls and young people of marginalised genders aged 11–18 and run by YSWN and East Riding Music Hub.
The free, fun, hands-on workshops offer the chance for participants to:
• Explore different approaches to making music using software that real-life music producers use
• Experiment with sounds and samples
• Build their own beats and songs
• Learn live recording techniques
• Learn about careers in the audio and music industry.
Led by professional musicians Claire Holdich and Ysabelle Wombwell, the six-week WIRED club starts on Wednesday 18 September 2024, running on Wednesdays from 5.30pm–7pm.
WIRED session dates
18 & 25 September
2, 9, 16 & 23 October
All 5.30pm–7pm at the Hexagon Music Centre, Coltman Avenue, Beverley HU17 9LP.
