What’s it really like working, learning or educating in music technology right now? That’s a question we’re asking for the next stage of our WIRED project.

YSWN is working with a research team to build a detailed picture of what it’s like being involved in music technology learning, and what challenges learners and educators have to deal with.

We’re especially interested in knowledge from experience, about what can help girls, young women and minority gender learners to feel equally included, and to stay involved in music technology. These are the ‘WIRED Stories’.
We welcome contributions from the following people with experiences of music tech learning:
• Girls, women and minority gender learners, or ex-learners
• Girls, women and minority gender professionals
• Teachers and educators in music tech (of any gender).

If this is you, we’d be so grateful if you would contribute your story via our survey, before 30 June 2023. Any information we use in the WIRED Stories will always be anonymised.

Find out more and complete the survey here.

You can also get in touch with the WIRED story builders if you are interested in being interviewed (via Zoom or phone) about your story. Email Anni Raw (story builder) on WIREDstorybuilders@gmail.com.
